It became a lot easier for scripkiddies to exploit a known vulnerability in the Intel Centrino 2200BG wifi adapter driver. It was added to the metasploit hacking tool.

iPhone Forensics Demo

Jonathan A. Zdziarski holds a webcast next April 17 on how to analyse the Apple iPhone. Apparently it’s been a big enough market to actually develop this. It’s also handy for other things, like installing other software. I think it’s going to be nice to watch.

Threats to the system

In private communication I’ve already been saying this to people: it’s going to be quite easy to hack the powersystem. However, in this case the risk involved to put my money where my mouth is is plainly too great.

Using a combination of social engineering and, apparently, vulnerabilities in Windows, a pentest team have been able to take over a powerplant.
